Planning sits third in a five-step model, after education and research and before design and implementation. The point of the sequence is that a plan is written by the people who will have to design and build against it.

Research work spans data collection, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and environmental impact assessment. It supports infrastructure planning, ecological and human health risk assessments, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, and natural resource damage assessments.
The team holds a doctorate in atmospheric physics and more than two decades of environmental modeling experience alongside its engineering and permitting practice.
