City of Palo Alto Green Stormwater Infrastructure Training
Olaunu is assisting the City of Palo Alto with providing National Green Infrastructure Certification (NGICP) training consisting of three-day training cohorts to train Bay Area cities, the San Jose Conservation Corps members, and other partners on the proper construction, inspection and maintenance of green stormwater infrastructure systems.

The City of Palo Alto is subject to the requirements of the San Francisco Bay Municipal Regional Stormwater National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit (Order R2-2022-0018), also known as the Municipal Regional Permit (MRP). Olaunu is assisting the City with providing training for green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) maintenance, using a modified NGICP training curriculum, to meet MRP requirements and adequately maintain its GSI assets. The training contributes to the implementation of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-funded (U.S. EPA) Greening Facilities for a Sustainable Community Project (Project). The training consists of classroom and field training and preparing trainees to pass the NGICP exam.
